What it does:
SocialCompare is an innovative collaborative data community that allows everyone to consult, create, modify, translate and share comparisons in any domain. Anything such as products, services, objects, softwares, websites, people, politics, sports… can be compared. Users can create interactive tables using text, numbers, images, videos, ratings…. All the items could be compared together and be grouped to create new comparisons. Like a “Wikipedia of comparisons”, data are maintained in a collaborative way, centralized in one place and published under open licenses. There is no real direct competition to our platform. Compared to other comparison websites, you can compare everything on SocialCompare (not only prices and products), content is under open license and reusable by differents matrix. Moreover compared to spreadsheets/databases oriented services, we are more community/social oriented where users can vote, rate and comment the content..

What is Campussizzle?
Simply put, Campussizzle is an online extension of your campus noticeboard. Right now, everyone uses the noticeboard to put up advertisements about events happening around college, about stuff they want to sell, stuff they want to buy, services they offer, services they need etc. We have put all of that and more, online on one website.

Why do we think it is useful?
We happen to think this is extremely beneficial to every student. Listings on the campus noticeboard can only be seen by people who have physical access to it, i.e. who can visit it to post their ads, to browse through other ads etc. But what about outstation students, or students who live away from campus, or students who simply can’t be bothered to walk all the way to the noticeboard? That’s where we come in. We have created this simple yet ingenious solution to all your problems. Using a website to post and view ads is a LOT cheaper (free) and less time consuming than advertising through the noticeboard or newspapers. (Yup, that means a lot more money to spend on more important things such as that bag you’ve been dying to buy, or the new ipod.) Your advertisements can be a lot longer and more detailed than they would on the noticeboard, and you don’t have to worry about them getting replaced or ripped off. Reedge – Onsite Behavioral Targeting Software as a Service

A new onsite behavioral targeting system released by Reedge, Inc., is giving small- and medium-sized businesses access to the same powerful website customization and optimization tools used by Amazon.com, eBay and other major players.

Reedge has entered the Beta trial period for its online software system, which allows website operators to dynamically customize text, images, navigation, offers and other elements of page content to increase conversion rates and maximize revenue per visit. It can also be used to add additional functionality to ad serving systems. The company is granting 100 royalty free licenses to allow businesses to use the Reedge system on their site to test the product and see what it can do to increase conversion.

The software as a service tool in for everyone to try, just sign up for beta or later when beta is over for a 15 day trial and you can give it a try on you blog, ecommerce portal or website. I have not seen that on large comparable companies. It seems to be all about consultancy hours and training for them. We more a hands-on tool: sign up, try if you like it start with a subscription for less then $100/usd. We will look over your shoulder when you use the tools and visit clients sites often to give suggestions (no extra charge). So we are building software as a service, but its more about making sure our clients do more conversion and revenue online then anything else.
