Looking for someone to pick up your dry cleaning, make a grocery or IKEA run, or tackle other errands for you and don’t mind paying a few bucks extra for the convenience? Web service RunMyErrand might be worth a look.
To get started, you can import your Facebook data via Facebook Connect. Once done, you just add the details of your errand, when you need it done, where it should be done, and who should run the errand. Once posted, a RunMyErrand runner will pick up the task and execute it. The company does background checks on its runners and allows you to access those checks for free.
Whether it saves times depends on your discipline in using the service. It’s also only available in Boston at the moment, although with the backing of not only Facebook, but ZipCar, it’ll be in 14 major cities relatively soon.
